Guadalajara´s airport is the third most important destination for companies that belong to the largest airline alliances of the world. These cooperation agreements offer access to both international cities and regional ones; therefore, the city is linked with 80% of the global routes.

Benito Juarez International Airport gets an average of 400 daily flights with 29 international destinations and 30 national ones. It gets 19,000 passengers approximately every day and over 7.6 millions every year. Recently, it was extended in order to offer more connectivity.

During 2016 the total number of operations was 158,985, from which 124,310 were national flights and 34,675 international ones. The passengers´ arrivals during this year reached nine millions: 7,722,837 were national ones and 1,370,442 international ones.

Inside the airport, banking services, exchange currency offices, mailing services, restaurants and stores can be found, in addition to safe ground transport, taxicabs and buses.

There are 66 daily flights from/to Mexico City and the flight time is 45 minutes.

Transport from / to the airport

In Guadalajara International airport, taxicabs, car rental companies and buses can be found. There is also the possibility of asking for private transportations through Uber or Cabiy from a mobile app.

Guadalajara Metropolitan area has 16,000 taxicabs, 5,000 out of them are exclusively for touristic services.

The car rentals are run by international companies such as Sixt, National, Avis, Budget, Fox and Europcar that offer their services inside the airport or even before or after your arrival.

The average time trip to the city is around 160 and $350 pesos ($20 USD) by taxicab and $10 pesos ($.60 USD)  by bus which departs every hour heading downtown.
